LINKS WITH THE COMMUNITY OF MONEYMORE

Situated in the heart of the Village, the Nursery
seeks to equip the children with foundational skills
and to make smooth transitions into Primary
School life.

COMMUNITY ETHOS

The nursery is known for its caring family ethos.
Serving a community where many parents and
pupils are already acquainted, the Nursery seeks
to establish and enhance a positive, friendly
atmosphere, where everyone feels welcome, and
each child is uniquely valued.

SHARING FROM THE START

The nursery encourages respect and good relations
from the early years. We currently are taking part
in the project ‘Sharing from the Start’. This project
involves children in the early years taking part in
Shared Education programmes improving
educational outcomes and good relations. Through
this project the children will form partnerships to
undertake Shared Education activities aimed at
improving community cohesion, inclusion, diversity
and educational outcomes for young children. The
project involves bringing children from different
pre-school settings and different community
backgrounds together for regular joint sessions
during the year. Our partner school is Lissan
Playgroup. Throughout the year the children enjoy
opportunities to partake in activities at both pre-
school settings, community settings, whilst on trips
and with visitors.
