EARLY INTERVENTION
AND TRANSFORMATION
PROGRAMME
Research shows that 3-4 years old is an important
stage in a child’s development and learning. Early
identification of needs is important. As part of the
‘Educare’ process, the 3+ Health Review involves
parents / carers completing a questionnaire and
then attending a short interview with the Health
Visitor. These meetings will be held in Moneymore
Nursery Unit.
THEMES AND STIMULI
Themes and resources are selected to provide
challenge and generate excitement in the nursery
aged child. It’s fun building your own rocket or
using a steering wheel to race a car or pretending
to be Goldilocks! The children inspire the play and
we guide the learning!
CURRICULUM ENRICHING

We enjoy exploring the surrounding village of
Moneymore including a walk to the local shop,
Manor Park and the play park. Visitors are invited
into nursery to add a touch of reality to our themes
eg. nurse, farmer, builder, hairdresser, community
police officer, road safety officer.
Trips and outings include locations such as
Adventure World, An Creagán Forest and
Springhill.
